The Bower House Inn - Eskdale

10 mins drive – Just over an hour to walk

Nice pub grub with good selection of ales.  Fabulous for the children, there is a football pitch and play area. 

The Strands Inn – Nether Wasdale

Nice cross country walk takes about 45 minutes or 20 minutes in the car.

Nice pub grub with its own microbrewery& distillery so there is good selection of ales and tipples. Lovely beer garden and they have a beer festival every year in May.
